The hotel is perfectly placed for outdoor activities - hill-walking, fishing, golf, cycling. The hotel's setting is the 15-mile long Glen Dochart which runs from Crianlarich to Killin. From the Hotel, the view takes in the dramatic peaks of Ben More and Stob Binneoin, two of the many hills of interest to hill walkers which are within easy reach of the hotel. The River Dochart, a popular fishing spot, is just over 70 metres from the back door of the hotel.
Scotland abounds with interesting visitor attractions and the Luib Hotel offers a convenient base from which to go touring. Very close to the hotel is the village of Killin where the river becomes the spectacular Falls of Dochart as it divides then crashes through a picturesque expanse of rocks. Within 20 minutes drive, you can be viewing the beautiful Loch Lomond, or drive a similar distance in an another direction to experience the atmospheric splendour of Glen Coe. All around are stunning lochs and mountains, cultural and, historic riches, an abundance of wildlife and flora.
